Thank you for taking the time to visit my website!
My name is Taylor Petrick and I am currently a 2nd year physical therapy student at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport, LA. I will be graduating in May 2018 with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT). My mission is to try to reach as many people as possible to promote health and wellness throughout all age groups.
I grew up in the small town of Argyle, Tx, which is northwest of Dallas, Tx. I played fastpitch softball for 13 years and played college softball at the University of Texas at Tyler. Throughout my softball career, I have experienced several injuries that required surgery and physical therapy. Due to these injuries, I decided that physical therapy was the career path I wanted to take. After graduating with my Bachelors in Kinesiology, I was accepted into physical therapy school at LSUHSC – Shreveport. In September of 2014, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I have been fortunate enough to stay healthy throughout school. This diagnosis has shaped me, helped me to encourage others, and opened my eyes to a completely different path than I thought I was going to be on. Since school currently takes up the majority of my time, I enjoy playing intramurals, slow pitch softball, watching fastpitch softball, going to the batting cages, participating in walks/runs that benefit the MS Society, and praising God.
